Joshua Andrade, CMRP

Director of Supply Chain Management
HonorHealth
Scottsdale, AZ

Describe the reasons why you would like to run for the Advisory Board.

Thank you for the opportunity. I am committed to helping others. My passion is in leadership development.
I have been in Supply Chain leadership for 20 years and in healthcare for 15. Over this time, I’ve realized that team success is more fulfilling than personal. I am dedicated to supporting the next generation of Supply Chain professionals in operational efficiencies and customer experience.

Thank you for your consideration.

Describe why you are a good candidate for this leadership role.

Career

I have been with HonorHealth for 15 years. Operationally, I have experienced an organizational merger, which came with changes to: Primary distributor, LUM to Bulk purchasing, ERP, EMR, expansions projects and a new, acute hospital build.

Industry Engagement

I have been the Education Chair for our local AHRMM chapter in Arizona. I have been selected into the Education Committee for AHRMM. I work closely with ASU to generate capstone projects for their master’s program students. I am currently collaborating with Scottsdale Community College to create a Supply Chain Certificate or associate degree.

Describe where you see health care evolving, and what you see supply chain’s role being in those future models.

Healthcare will continue to expand its scope and the continuum of care will be more emphasized in the preventative measures. Inventory management then moves from focusing on only acute centers to acute and non-acute, to then acute, non-acute and home health.

Vendor and Supplier management will be more in-depth collaborations. Business reviews will have greater details on product availability and origin points.

Supply Chain leadership will have the opportunity to capitalize on the new found appreciation and continue to prove how vital we are to the operation through risk mitigation.

Supply Chain team members will have a better understanding of our purpose. Patient care. As the labor market fluctuates a job is just a job until the “why” is understood.

How will your leadership and vision strengthen AHRMM?

I live AHRMM’s mission each day. I believe in education, leadership and improving our community. I have improved myself, my teams, and the local healthcare Supply Chain professions in Arizona through the educational offerings. I am continuously learning from my industry leaders, development coaches and college professors.
